Burwell Architects selected as one of the architects for the new £80 million construction consultancy services framework
Burwell Architects are happy to have been given the opportunity to continue our work assisting the University of Cambridge in developing their estate, after being selected as one of the preferred bidders to join the University's Framework. This provides us with opportunities to work on a range of projects for the university, which boasts net assets valued at around £4.9 billion and is currently in the process of creating its £1 billion North West Cambridge Eddington urban extension.
The four-year framework comprises six segments, including cost management, project management, architectural services, civil and structural engineering, services engineering, and building surveying services. The most recent framework is anticipated to encompass various minor construction projects, civil and structural engineering tasks, electrical and mechanical projects, fit-outs, refurbishments, highway projects, external works, and heritage-related initiatives.
We have been collaborating with the University on a variety of projects, including the adaptation of Greenwich House to create new agile working pilot spaces, which support 'new ways of working' for the university’s support and administration teams.
